PFM SMART® ENGAGES IN IMF AND GATES FOUNDATION BACKED PFM HACKATHON

The PFM Hackathon organized by the Yemen Ministry of Finance (MoF) in sponsorship with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation invited PFM Smart® to tackle pressing data exchange challenges in public financial management. Over the course of two action-packed days, PFM Smart® engaged in intense sessions along with subject matter experts, IMF mentors, and representatives from Yemen's Ministry of Finance. This hackathon aimed to leverage digital technologies to enhance the management of Yemen's public finances. 
PFM Smart® played a pivotal role in the hackathon, participating along with teams worked intensively for 30 hours to develop innovative solutions. The company's expertise in developing innovative PFM solutions was instrumental in highlighting their commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to solve complex public financial management challenges.

The PFM Hackathon marked a significant step towards modernizing public financial management in Yemen. The event highlighted the potential of technology to transform government financial operations, with successful solutions expected to be piloted and scaled up, contributing to better fiscal discipline and public service delivery. PFM Smart® plans to participate similar events in the future to sustain this momentum and further drive the digital transformation of public financial systems globally.
