PFM Smart® participated in the Public Financial Management (PFM) Hackathon organized by the Yemen Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The event brought together experts, mentors, and government representatives to address critical data exchange challenges in public financial management.
Over two intensive days, PFM Smart® engaged in dynamic working sessions alongside subject matter experts, IMF mentors, and representatives from Yemen's Ministry of Finance. The hackathon aimed to leverage digital technologies to improve the management and transparency of public finances.
PFM Smart® played a key role in the event, working collaboratively with participating teams over a continuous 30-hour development cycle to design and propose innovative solutions. The company's expertise in PFM systems highlighted its strong commitment to driving innovation and solving complex financial management challenges through technology.
The hackathon represents an important step toward modernizing public financial management in Yemen. It demonstrated the potential of digital solutions to transform government financial operations, with selected solutions expected to be piloted and scaled to support improved fiscal discipline and service delivery.
