
The Ministry of Health and Human Services (MOH), Federal Government of Somalia, with support from UNICEF, is implementing a Financial Management Information System (FMIS) for donor-funded projects with the objective of strengthening financial governance, enhancing transparency, improving accountability, and modernizing financial management operations across health sector programs.
As part of the implementation roadmap, a comprehensive implementation support and capacity-building workshop was conducted from 09 May to 17 May 2026 for Ministry officials, project staff, finance personnel, procurement officers, payroll administrators, program managers, and system administrators.
The training covered all major FMIS functional modules including Budget Preparation and Control, Expenditure Management, Treasury Operations, Revenue Management, Procurement and Contract Management, Payroll Administration, Fixed Assets Management, Financial Reporting, Audit Trail Monitoring, and System Administration.
